★今作『Sings Blazing Ballads』は、ジャッキー・カイン(1928-2014)とロイ・クラル(1921-2002)夫妻による初の名義でのアルバム ( 通称 :『Jackie & Roy』である。ある曲では言葉を発しないスキャット、ある曲では遊び心のある叙情的な掛け合い、そしていくつかのバラードではジャッキーの才能に焦点が当てられており、クラルは主にピアノで彼女のバックを務めるにとどまっている。他のメンバーは、バーニー・ケッセル、レッド・ミッチェル、シェリー・マンなどの豪華ジャズ・アーティストが参加している。
