★初めてボサ・ノヴァを英語で歌ったジャズ・シンガーのひとりと伝えられる、パット・トーマスの名唱集が登場しました。彼女は1965年にアート・ブレイキーとジャズ・メッセンジャーズのゲストとして来日したことがありますが、このCDは1962年〜1963年に制作された「Desafinado」と「Moody's Mood」をカップリングした一作。ディジー・ガレスピー・バンドの一員としてボサ・ノヴァの普及に一役買ったラロ・シフリンや、クラウス・オガーマンなど錚々たる面々がアレンジを担当し、パットの初々しくもソウルフルなヴォーカルにさらなる彩りを加えます。　(jazzyellより)
